Seattle, WA: Marine Life is the Life for Us

We were born with sea legs. Our building, right on the water in the Ballard area, has been there for 70 years.

That gives us a unique location between Lake Union and the Puget Sound to provide the absolute best marine products and solutions to those on the water.

MFCP Seattle locationAnd that’s what we know best: the water.

We know that when tendering season hits, you need the right fish hose. We stock 20 foot and 40-foot fish hose, and can even deliver for free.

We also supply versatile products like marine wet hose exhaust, which can be used for:

– pumping water
– fuel and fuel transfer
– oil and oil transfer

If you make your living on the water, you can’t live without MFCP. Fill out a quote, or give us a call to find out how we can make your life easier.

What to expect in Seattle

Here in Seattle, we pride ourselves on offering the best services possible; we know that when you need something, you need it fast.

That’s why we make hose assemblies while you wait, and deliver some of our hose for free.

We also offer services like:

One of our favorite memories is when we did a crimper placement on The Wizard, a featured crab boat on Discovery’s documentary series Deadliest Catch.

Our favorite products: Parker, Racor, Pacific Echo and more

Hose is the backbone of MFCP. We carry must-have hose products like:

Parker Racor filter

  • suction and discharge hose
  • fuel hose
  • fish hose

As a Master Distributor for Parker Hannifin, you know we have the best, like Parker Racor filters (great for all boat sizes). To make sure you get whatever you need, we also carry products from partners like Pacific Echo and Kanaflex.

One of our absolute favorite products for our marine community is the Parker Sensonode. It’s a genius tool for detecting issues with equipment performance.

Sensonode uses Bluetooth, won’t drain your power supply, and is perfect for hard-to-reach equipment on any boat.

Seattle, Washington: Why we call it home

It’s wet here. But it’s also bursting with history and reasons why we love our home in Ballard.

We love the Scandinavian influence here, sparked by the influx of settlers here in the early 1900s. (That’s why you’ll find us often at Larsen’s Bakery grabbing a kringle.) We also love it’s a place we can grow.

At the beginning of 2017, our location was just 750 square feet. We have now almost tripled our space, which is 2000 square feet. That means more items in our store, more hose and filters we can stock, and more solutions for you.

Meet our Seattle branch manager: David Grigsby

More than anything, we love being on the water, and helping those who are, too. Our Seattle branch manager, David Grigsby, has been with MFCP for 14 years, and is a native of the Pacific Northwest.

What’s your favorite part of working in Seattle? My dad is retired from the Coast Guard, and I grew up on the Washington and Oregon coasts. It’s great to be just a few feet from the water.

What did you do before joining the MFCP team? I was a field mechanic for 13 years; I love fixing stuff and have a mechanical mind (it also enables me to come out to the boats and help install products). I was also a volunteer firefighter down in Portland.

Volunteer firefighter – that’s pretty cool. How’d you get into that? While climbing Mt. Rainier, I actually witnessed four people badly hurt in front of me. A helicopter dropped off aids to help, and I was given direction from those professionals. It made me want to be better prepared and learn how I can help others in my community.

If you were given a roundtrip plane ticket right now, which destination would you choose? Nepal – I would head right for the top of Everest. I’ve climbed Mt. Hood a few times and Rainier a few times as well.
